It’s hard to believe that summer has already flown by and it’s time to thing about autumn. As the days cool off, we start getting the itch to change things up and decorate for fall.
This year we’ve been on the hunt for all things minimal and modern for our fall decorating and we can’t wait to share what we’ve found.
modern scandi vases in gorgeous soft autumn colors
We love these so much, we’re buying more as gifts. They’re contemporary, nordic, and timeless all at the same time.
With clean minimal lines and soft muted colors these vases are beautiful in their own right but even moreso with a simple fall brand tucked inside.
breathable throw for autumn evenings
We love muslin throws for baby, but there’s no reason we shouldn’t treat ourselves, too. This throw is incredibly soft, breathable, and are sensitive skin friendly.
It has a great drape to it as a decor throw. What we like the most, though, is that it’s just the thing for a fall morning on the patio with a cup of coffee and a good book.
pumpkin-eqsue candles
If we’re going to do pumpkin decor, can we do it with a gorgous soy candle set instead of a flocked plastic thing?
These are so gorgeous you could leave them out all year. Technically they’re unscented, but if you’ve ever burned a 100% pure soy wax candle, you’ll know that the smell is lovely. Light, warm, and almost (but not quite) floral.
Bonus, their eco-friendly, paraffin free, and have a clean and even burn.
a jute & cotton table runner that you'll use for more than just thanksgiving
A table runner is a great way to dress up a holiday table, but it doesn’t have to be kitchy. This simple jute runner leans to a warm and modern fall look, but it can transition to any season depending on the rest of your table decor. Being environmentally friendly and handcrafted with recycled materials, at under $20 it’s a great deal. Note, they aren’t machine washable, but a shake out normally does the trick.
fall scents that smell like home
Instead of the box store scented candle, try this. Reed diffusers are safer than candles and fill a space with long-lasting scent. Just place the bottle, add the scent reeds and enjoy.
Their “hello fall” scent smells like hot cider with cinnamon, apple, clove, and nutmeg. Want something less seasonal? Try the Salt + Sea – it smells like a spa.
Plus, we love supporting other women-owned businesses.
a classic wood tray
We use these year round, but they’re especially great for fall entertaining and decor. Pile in the fresh apples, use it to serve bread at Thanksgiving dinner, or set it out on an ottoman for a place to set a hot cup of tea.
The trick is in finding one that’s the most versatile size, deep enough to double as serveware but shallow enough to work as a tray. This acacia wood sweetie is absolutely perfect.
